Men have it so much easier sometimes. Right, ladies? The only thing I can remember any of my ex-boyfriends worrying about is how fast they could get off the plane to grab some decent food. Meanwhile, I’m trying to fix that sad flat spot on the back of my head, my creased concealer, my dry lips, dry skin – all-dry-everything.

After years of research, successes, and failures, I’ve compiled a list of the 10 best beauty products you can’t travel without, and they haven’t let me down since. Best of all, they all can come with you in your purse or carry-on!

1. kat von d, Lock-It Foundation

Kat Vond D Lock-It FoundationCost: $35-$40+

This creamy pigmented goodness was created to cover tattoo’s for 24 hours – meaning it lasts. It’s full coverage, it’s waterproof, it lasts all day.

Since it’s waterproof it’s great for those of us that have less-than-perfect skin that still want to look glamorous at the beach. My favorite part is that it’s also sweat-proof! When I lived in NYC the subway stations could be crazy-hot in the summer, which inevitably leads to the dreaded sweatstache. Lock-It Foundation stays right where you put it. The bottle comes with 1 oz of product, which has lasted me over 6 months and it’s still going strong.

2. evian Natural Mineral Water facial spray

Traveling can wreak havoc on your skin. It sucks all the moisture right out of you. evian Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray will bring your skin back to life instantly.

This spray uses pure natural water micro-mist to sooth skin with or without makeup. To be honest, I’m not sure how plain water does such a fantastic job at hydrating, but it does.

I have combination skin, so when I start to feel a little dry I spritz some on. It will give you a nice little refresh before you disembark, ready to take your new destination by storm!

3.GLAMGLOW Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

Cost: $49.30

My problematic skin is extra sensitive to extreme-anything. Being on a plane really does a number to my face, but GLAMGLOW to the rescue!

GLAMGLOW Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment is great for most skin types and features olive leaf, which penetrates the fatty tissue to deliver the hydration your skin needs after sitting on a long flight.

4.Drybar Triple Sec

When I lived in New York I loved getting blowouts at Drybar, so I was thrilled when I saw travel sized Drybar Triple Sec: Texurize, Amplify, Refresh available! It absorbs oil and volumizes hair, so you’re ready to go straight off the plane.

This fabulous product smells great and dries clear. No need to worry about rubbing it all in. If you miss a spot, nobody will notice. Never walk off a long-haul flight with flat-head again!

5. Urban decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil

urban decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencilCost: $20+ (Available at Sephora)

This eye pencil is great for travel to hot humid climates. Once you glide it on, it’s staying put come hell or high water. There’s also a nice variety of colors to choose from, though I’ve also stuck with black (or Perversion as they call it) myself.

The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil is excellent quality and lasts forever. Snorkel while still looking fabulous, anyone?

6. Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

This stuff works wonders on me when my eyes are looking puffy or dry. To be honest, I’ve even hidden in my seat and used them on the plane.

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask will smooth fine lines and de-puff those jet-lagged eyes without a hitch.

7. Clean & Clear Oil absorbing sheets

CLean & Clear Oil Absorbing SheetsCost: $8.85

The tried and true Clean & Clear (and under control) Oil Absorbing Sheets are available online or at your local drugstore. Of all the oil absorbing sheets – these are my favorite.

These plastic-y feeling sheets soak the oil right off of your face, leaving you shine-free and looking refreshed. Use this right before the moisturizer spray and you’ll be glowing straight off the plane!

8. Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipstickKat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

Cost: $27.15

Kat Von D is hard to beat when it comes to long-lasting makeup. She knocks it out of the park again with her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, which has lasting power without the cracks and flaking you get with a lot of liquid lipsticks.

That being said, you should always exfoliate your lips before putting on liquid lipsticks. Staying power means it really clings to your lips, so you want to create a smooth canvas for this liquid lipstick to work its magic on.

9. Trish McEvoy Lash Curling Mascara

Cost: $31.50

This mascara is amazing. Most waterproof mascara either does nothing for my lashes, clumps, flakes, or disappears over time. Not this one.
